The Camp Nou in Barcelona is the largest stadium in Europe with its 99,000 seats and is a true 'temple of football'. Those who love the sport and, perhaps, even those who are not so fond of it, cannot remain indifferent to its size and beauty. In fact, it is one of the most visited attractions in the city!
With a visit to Barcelona's Camp Nou, you can discover the history and culture of this football club that represents an entire region and is a source of pride for the Catalan people.

What to see and how to visit Camp Nou
The tour of Barcelona's Camp Nou will allow you to see the visitors' changing rooms, the pitch access tunnel, the Messi area, the bench area, the press room, the Barcelona FC museum and the multimedia space.
With the visit to Camp Nou you will feel that same thrill and excitement that the footballers feel when they walk through the tunnel to the pitch and you will see the visiting team's changing rooms, which have seen several top players pass through. In addition, you will be able to enjoy the impressive view of the stands and bleachers of the pitch from the presidential box, sit on the benches where the players sit and see the press room where the conferences take place. All this, with the company of ad hoc sound effects and visual effects with backlit images, to fully relive the history of FC Barcelona.
In the FC Barcelona Museum, opened in 1984, in addition to audiovisual documents and objects that tell the club's history, there is a collection of sports-themed artwork created by well-known artists such as Salvador Dalí, Joan Miró and Antoni Tàpies. The museum includes
theTrophy Room: it houses all the trophies won by Barça.
theMessi Zone: an area dedicated to Messi in which his five Ballon d'Or, the three Golden Shoe trophies and other awards won by the champion are displayed.
theMultimedia Zone: an innovative part of the museum where there are interactive tables that allow you to relive all of Messi's goals and see many other images (and videos) about the team.

Minimum time: The Camp Nou Experience lasts approximately one and a half hours. I recommend that you dedicate at least 2 hours of your time. If you are a real fan, you could spend a whole morning here!
Watch out for the metro stop: depending on the access door indicated on your ticket, you should get off at certain metro stations. If you have access 1-10 get off at Palau Reial with the L3 line (11-minute walk), access 11-16 stop Collblanc and access 17-18 station Badal with the L5 (6-7 minutes). Access 19-21 Les Corts stop with the L3 metro line (8 minutes on foot).
History, curiosities and practical info: what to know in brief
Camp Nou was inaugurated in 1957 under the presidency of Francesc Miró-Sans, who spent many millions to replace the old stadium in Les Corts and, above all, to respond to Real Madrid's Estadio Santiago Bernabéu. It was completed in 1961 with money from the sale of Suarez. There are plans for an expansion to 106,000 seats and the construction of a canopy to protect the stands.
Some interesting facts: two Champions League finals, several European Championship finals in '64 and the 1982 World Cup were played here. In addition, the pitch has been used to host major concerts and other sporting events.
Generally, the Camp Nou Experience ends, after seeing the pitch and having access to spaces not allowed to the public (changing rooms, benches, tunnels, etc.), in the well-stocked official FC Barcelona shop. Or rather, you can't help but go inside to buy something!
The tour lasts about 90 minutes but you can stay as long as you want and, as I said before, dedicate a whole morning if you want to and have time available.
Keep in mind that if FC Barcelona is playing at home or there are Champions League matches you will not be able to visit it and, in the latter case, you will also find it closed the day before the match.
Finally, I recommend booking your tickets in advance (well in advance if you want to attend some matches!) and doing it online, as you will save money and skip the queue. Admission is until an hour and a half before the official closing time: this is a good time to visit the stadium and the museum, along with the opening hours.
